Bob was born in Rockford, Ilinois, where he received his associate's degree in business at Rock Valley College before attending Northern Illinois University, DeKalb, Illinois, where he graduated with his bachelor of science degree in economics in 1987.

Bob has more than 21 years of experience in the financial services that includes an internship at one of the nation's first fee-only planning firms, Savant Planning Group, in 1987, before joining A.G. Edwards in 1988. After being discouraged with the sales mentality of the commission based investment industry, he joined AmCore Trust Company as a securities coordinator before returning to the fee-only investment firm 1991, where he worked for seven years before starting his own firm in 1998.

Bob was awarded the Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation in September 1999 and is currently working toward his Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC) designation.

Bob resides in the Lake Geneva area with his wife Tracey and two sons, Thomas and Parker. When Bob is not at work, he enjoys quality family time golfing, go-karting, fishing and family trips to Disney.
